If you're not sure about how counselling works, who to see, or are a little uncertain, we welcome you to come and visit us.
Our Practice Manager would love to sit down with you and listen to your needs and expectations. We find out what your motivations for counselling are, and what kind of support you need. We explain how the process works; the difference between services; how our clinic operates, and what to expect from the services we deliver. We assure you ethical conduct including confidentiality, explanation of services (including Medicare Rebates & GP Mental Health Care Plans) and determine the most suitable clinician for you. (*Free consult not applicable to GP Mental Health Care Plans).
Masters Psychology is accredited to provide services under Medicare and private health insurance via referral from a GP. Psychological reports are also available by negotiation.
If you have been struggling with any of the issues listed or feel that you could start to work on improving the quality of your life in general, the assistance of a psychologist may help. If you think that you might benefit from psychological consultation we recommend first discussing your concerns with your GP. They will be able to discuss the many types of treatment options available and help determine whether seeing a psychologist is best suited and whether you qualify for the Mental Health Care Plan Initiative.
Psychology services available include assessment and treatment for a range of concerns including:
- Posttraumatic Stress
