COGNITIVE ASSESSMENTS web-based and iPad-based assessments
At Masters Psychology, we offer a wide range of web-based and iPad-based assessments for children, teens, and adults. These tests are used to understand how a person thinks, learns, remembers, and manages emotions and behaviour. All assessments are carried out by qualified and experienced psychologists and clinical psychologists.
What’s the Difference Between Psychometric and Neuropsychological Assessments?
Psychometric assessments usually involve questionnaires or checklists. They help us understand things like mood, anxiety, behaviour, or emotional well-being.
Neuropsychological assessments involve one-on-one testing and are more detailed. They look at how the brain is working – including memory, attention, learning and problem-solving.
When are these Assessments Used?
Psychometric tests are often used to:
Understand mental health concerns (like anxiety or depression).
Check for emotional or behavioural challenges.
Help with treatment or support treatment planning.
Neuropsychological assessments are used to:
Understand learning or thinking difficulties.
Explore concerns related to ADHD, Autism or Intellectual Disability.
Support school or workplace planning.
Our comprehensive assessments are administered by accredited clinical psychologists/psychologists and can assist in the examination of:
ADHD
Executive functioning (e.g., planning, focus, self-control capabilities)
Learning difficulties (including Dyslexia)
School readiness
Memory, language and processing
Intellectual disabilities
Giftedness
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – Not currently offering but we have prefered providers
These assessments help build a clear picture of a person’s strengths and challenges. We provide written reports with practical recommendations that can support learning, behaviour, and emotional well-being at home, school or work.
